Enterprise Estonia issued a grant to Icosagen Cell Factory

Icosagen Cell Factory has received an applied reseach grant from Enterprise Estonia to develop a technology for cell-based assay construction that utilises elements from QMCF Technology proprietary to the company. The reseach grant is MEUR 1. The total amount of the R&D project is MEUR 1.5. The project starts on 1 September and lasts for a period of two years.

Icosagen Cell Factory (previously Quattromed Cell Factory) has been granted a patent relating to its QMCF Technology. The European Patent Office announced on 25 March 2009 that it intends to grant European patent application No 06706887.4 with the title “Vectors, cell lines and their use in obtaining extended episomal maintenance replication of hybrid plasmids and expression of gene products” with European patent number 1851319.
